Sphere Based Systems

EOI’s Sphere Based Systems set a new performance and capability standard for calibration and testing of sensors and cameras. Combining our expertise in spheres with our expertise in system design, thus producing the most reliable, repeatable, and quantitative test results. Standard Integrating Spheres

EOI also offers individual, customizable spheres of various sizes and different coatings for customers to use. Standard size spheres are 3”, 6”, 8” and 12”, and available coatings are Teflon, Barium Sulfate, and Gold. For detailed specifications, please contact us

Light Measurement Integrating Spheres

EOI’s Light Measurement Integrating Spheres are designed to measure total flux output of various light sources such as lasers, fiber optics, xenon arc lamps, LEDs, tungsten lamps. The ISV210 is a 6-inch sphere with 2-inch diameter ports, while the ISV410 is a 12-inch sphere with 2 or 4-inch ports. The ISV Integrating Spheres utilize closed loop control of the detector/attenuator system to precisely set and maintain the desired output level. A silicon detector continuously monitors the output of the lamps and provides feedback to the attenuator, providing very stable and repeatable performance. Operation of the system is from the controller front panel keypad or via the built-in Ethernet and RS-232 computer interfaces (IEEE-488 optional). For detailed specifications, please contact us.

Integrating Source Spheres

EOI’s Integrating Source Spheres are designed for the calibration and test of cameras and sensors such as optical detectors, radiometers, UV-vision enhancement systems, night vision systems, image intensifier cameras, and focal plane arrays. All of our integrating source spheres utilize closed loop control of the detector/attenuator system to precisely set and maintain the desired output level. A silicon detector continuously monitors the output of the lamps and provides feedback to the attenuator, providing very stable and repeatable performance.
