Electro Optical Industries, Inc. is committed to developing and manufacturing high quality, state-of-the-art test
equipment and calibration instrumentation.
EOI was founded by Arthur J. Cussen and incorporated in 1964. EOI is a subsidiary of Channel Technologies Inc. Today, Electro Optical Industries is known for providing
state-of-the-art equipment for both government and commercial applications. We currently have products in over 45
countries, with a customer list of over 1000 accounts including some of the best known companies in America and abroad.
We are dedicated to making and supporting a wide range of calibration and test equipment that cover a section of the electromagnetic spectrum starting at .1 micron (ultraviolet) and extends all the way out to 20 microns (long wave infrared) for the test community. Our products include: UV, Visible (photopic), and Infrared Sources for Calibration, and Testing Equipment, such as; Infrared Test Sets, Target Simulators, Collimators, Detector Test Sets, Radiometers, and Complete Turnkey Test Systems. This technology is used for such diverse applications as weather analysis, environment studies, search and rescue, fire fighting, night vision, missile guidance, industrial temperature control, non-destructive testing, and quality control in various industrial processes.
In addition to EOI, the Channel Technologies, Inc. family of companies is comprised of five other wholly-owned subsidiaries. Each company was started by Channel Technologies or Channel Industries and they excel in the developing and manufacturing their particular product line of expertise:
Channel Industries, Inc. of Santa Barbara, California was incorporated in 1959 and is a developer and manufacturer of a wide variety of piezoelectric ceramics.
International Transducer Corporation of Santa Barbara, California incorporated in 1966 is a designer and manufacturer of high quality acoustic transducers and hydrophones.
Channel Products, Inc. of Chesterland and Jefferson, Ohio incorporated in 1972 supplies electronic and piezoelectric igniters and other assemblies to the gas appliance industry.
Sonatech, Inc. of Santa Barbara, California was incorporated in 1973 and is a developer and manufacturer specializing in high performance underwater acoustic equipment, particularly sonar tracking and navigation systems for military use.
Harris Acoustic Products Corporation of East Walpole, Massachusetts was incorporated as Seabeam Instruments, Inc. in 1991 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Channel Technologies. Harris designs and manufactures sonar transducers.
