Reflective Four Bar targets are used to provide
control over the ambient background. This allows testing of the unit under
test at high or low background ambient conditions.
An extended area source is configured in an EOI
collimator such that the unit under test sees this source reflected from
the mirrored front surface of the target. A second extended area source is
mounted behind the target (the normal position) to provide contrast.
EOI's reflective targets are polished zinc selenide with
a broad band, high reflectance gold coating on the front surface.
The clear bar areas have > 97% transmission from 2.5 to 6.0 µ.
Anti-reflectance coatings on both sides minimizes the possibility of the
UUT seeing its own reflectance.
EOI offers an extensive list of precision
four bar targets for EOI's target wheels. The
target mounting is designed to permit accurate indexing of the target at
0°, 45° or 90°. Custom targets are available for a nominal
non-recurring expense.
All EOI targets are calibrated
