Stephen Scopatz is President of Electro-Optical Industries. He joined EOI and the Channel Technologies family of companies in 2003 in a technical management role. He was promoted to Vice President shortly after joining the company and has been President since 2007. Through his leadership he is continuing to establish EOI’s market position as the industry leader in Electro Optics sales and technology. Mr. Scopatz continues to set the technical path for the company as well as managing the sales activities and the day-to-day operations.
In hands on technical management capacities, Mr. Scopatz has developed test equipment for or using Optics for over 25 years. He has worked in the areas of electro-optical testing (UV to LWIR), laser testing, machine vision, and chemical analysis using UV-VIS spectroscopy.
Mr. Scopatz holds a Masters of Science in Engineering from Purdue University and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Southern California. He is the inventor on 6 patents and has delivered a number of technical papers on the topic. He currently serves on the board of the Science and Engineering Council in Santa Barbara, a technically based non-profit organization that hosts a monthly lecture series and the annual science fair for Santa Barbara county.
Brent Lindstrom is the Sales & Marketing Director for Electro Optical Industries and has a BSME - Bachelor of Science Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University and twelve years experience in providing applications support of Test Equipment in the Electro Optics field. Has worked with and supported the US Military, major defense contractors, leading standards and testing laboratories with Application Specific Solutions to meet their Test and Calibration requirements.
Randy Trent is the Opto-Mechanical Engineer at Electro Optical Industries as well as the Manager of Drafting, Document Control and Opto-mechanical assembly departments. He is the inventor of 1 patent and co-inventor of 1 patent for test equipment. He has been with EOI for nearly 30 years and prior to that was flying and servicing aircraft at the Santa Barbara airport. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. military (U.S.M.C.) in 1977, after 4 years of active duty.
Jason Mazzetta is the Research and Development Project Manager for Electro Optical Industries and holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University. Over the past seven years Mazzetta has worked to design and support infrared and visible sources, multi-spectral test targets, and system level software. Recently he has been involved in developing new test sets for quantifying the performance of high-resolution digital visible imaging systems. Mazzetta has written and presented various papers on optical test hardware and software for both military and commercial audiences.
Mike Moschitto is the Operations Manager for Electro Optical Industries and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University. He has been in Operations and Plant Management for the past 9 years and manufacturing engineering for 11 years previously, implementing Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen techniques. Prior to joining EOI, Mike became Six Sigma Green Belt certified and was a lead manager establishing ISO9001/QS9000 and AS9100 quality systems at a manufacturer serving automotive, military, high reliability space and commercial customers.
